So something was actually bothering me about Qing the first day. I was worried because she was cute, but something seemed a little off. And I had bonding worries. But I took off her apron the next day, and she looked more like she should. So now white aprons are a dislike of Qing's. LOL And here's some fun pics of her around the kitchen...because it has the best light in my house and we all know my camera sucks. Yes, it's on my list of to-gets. (Especially now that my lay-aways are done and almost done.) The pictures are a little dark, but still cute.

Qing is in the mail! DDE just sent me the letter yesterday! (I was at Saboten Con all weekend, so this is my first chance to post) That means tomorrow or the next day she'll arrive and I'll have another box opening to post. (And I'll finally figure out if her name is Qing or Musetta. LOL)

Yay! ^-^ I'm super-happy! They're finally home!

Quick note: I ordered a flowerelf outfit from elfdoll for Mogu. But the collar piece was glued together, so I'd have to pop off his head to put it on. -_-' Since I have issues with that, I left if off for the opening pics. I've since de-glued the collar and sewed a piece of velcro on it. He can wear it now, and it looks super-cute! Pics of him in full costume will be coming soon!

It's been a long six months since I started a lay-away on DDE. The lay-away itself ended on September 26th. I was super-excited waiting for my dolls to come home. But several days later I still had no notice of shipment, and the money hadn't been taken out even. I was super-nervous, so I wrote. It turned out Leekeworld hadn't shipped my Ching yet. ;_;

Since I was very anxious, I asked if they would ship the pukis now and Ching when she comes. To my excitement they agreed! Meigui and Mogu arrived on October 5th! Beware. This is going to take two posts and involve massive pic spammage! ^-^

I worked so the "party" was sort-of split over 2 days. it was fun, though, and I got several new items for Didi to pose and have fun with.

This is the last month. In 20 days, I'll be making my last payment on my trio from DDE. Meigui, Mogu, and Qing will be coming home! I'm super excited! I bought Qing (er...Qing/Musetta?) something from my store today. It came in as a kid's bracelet, but I think it'll make a really cute hairbow. I don't know how I'm going to last the wait! (Except, I kind-of have to because I have bills. So I can't pay it off early. Man, does it suck to be a responsible adult or what?)

I'm shocked how fast the months went by, actually. Seems like I just put the order in yesterday or last week or something. And that means only 2 more payments for Timmorn and Rhanee too. Wow! (Though I have alot of work for them to do, since they're coming without face-ups, eyes, or the correct wigs. I think I know what I want for Rhanee's wigs, but Timmorn is alluding me. They don't have clothes either. Maybe Qing/Musetta will model for me so I can sew them something.)

Wow, to think that Qing/Musetta will be here to be a model for clothing is like - eep! Really? And Meigui and Mogu too! Didi will have his shoulderangels to do shoots with! I can photostory his backstory! I'm gonna end up doing a countdown!

I tried for a second outdoor photoshoot, but most of the pics came out blurry. ;_; Apparently with the sun setting my poor old digicam couldn't get the best of shots. Still, I really like some of the shots! Here we go:

I did get some shots of him with his radio that turned out really good. But I want to use them in a photostory. But mind's going like this - "Look, a whole series of pictures with a radio. We should do a photostory!" *thinks* *gets dizzy* "Can't think of one..."

So as you all know from reading this journal, my camera takes horrible inside pictures. ^0^ So for his photoshoot with the new shirt I made him, I took Didi outside to play in the sun. (Which was ofcourse, too bright, and ruined some of the pictures anyway. Curse you, arizona sun!)

*a-hem* I made the sleeveless shirt because I felt so bad that Didi was in long sleeves in all the heat that accompanies summer here. But then it looked blank, and not very Didi. So I searched websites, and I thought this design was perfect for him. I simplified it due to his size. (And because I was hand-drawing and painting it. C'mon, cut me some slack!)

Though Qing is whispering to me that she might prefer the name Musetta. I don't know why, but she is. *frowns at Qing* But you've kept your name the same all this time! I'll have to see which she prefers when she gets here.

I know, they came out a few days before I officially put my order in for Meigui, Mogu, and Qing. I should have known better. I should have waited for those three, and done this layaway first. But I'd already contacted DDE, and I felt an obligation to go through with that. Besides, I kept thinking - I've waited so long for this set!

I'm doomed. (Or should I say soomed?) They've even named themselves in my head. I'm totally smitten. I shouldn't do this (2 layaways? Another six months??) But I promise, these are the last dolls for this year. Really! I swear it...

I just placed my lay-away order at Denver Doll Emporium.

It was supposed to just be for Meigui (Fairyland Puki Sugar) and Mogu (Fairyland Puki Piki) - Didi's shoulderdevil and shoulderangel respectively. But I noticed the other day that they had Leekeworld Ching with her face-up for only $250...

Naturally, I couldn't resist. I keep watching Yukiko with her girls, and going - I want a girl! I want to a sew a dress! And I don't think Didi would appreciate it if I sewed him one.

Qing (Note the spelling change. For Leekeworld it's Ching , but to me, my girl is Qing) is a household brownie. Based on European folklore, that means she's a domestic fairy. (But, yes, she still gets a chinese name.) She's also my excuse for buying and sewing every girly outfit I think is adorable but would never wear. LOL

I'm setting up a long lay-away (6 months) with DDE. I know that means a long wait, but I'm so excited anyway! I'm going to have 3 new dolls (relatively) soon! (And they still don't add up to what I payed for Didi! ROFL)

I've done two photoshoots that haven't been posted. Didi was in the PCC BJD Fashionshow - no pics or report. I suck, don't I?

PCC BJD FASHION SHOW - WINTER WONDERLAND

I volunteered to help run the PCC BJD Fashion Show. The main coordinator was actually Chandi, so most of the kudos goes to her! I was really excited up to PCC, but during the event itself I really felt bewildered and spastic. I needed to be calmer and think clearer, so I think I made some mistakes that I could have avoided, and saved time. (Thank-you to everyone who helped! Especially during set-up!) Despite some set-backs, the event went pretty well. We had some last-minute entries, and lots of spectators.

It went longer than was on the program. Which we (Chandi and I) actually kind-of expected. We wanted more time to begin with, but you'd be surprised how many people don't realize how long an event like this can take. So despite asking for two hours we were only slotted for an hour! Setting up the set took up a good half-hour, then we had to give the doll owners time to pose their dolls. And once that was done the attendees needed time to view and vote! So I'm glad we had a last-minute location switch. (I don't think some of the staff was happy about us stealing the end of the hallway like that, but - hey - it was better than hogging the panel room when the next panel needed to start, right?)

I enjoyed it, and everyone seemed to love the sets - especially the snowballs! LOL

I had lots of fun at the Winter Wonderland Fashion Show. I met lots of new dolls - plus I got to see Tomoyo again! :) I even got to wear this super-cute penguin hat Chandi and Yukiko gave me as a gift! Can you believe Meimei's camera malfunctioned? She didn't get a single picture of the Fashion Show! But it started working again the next day. Meigui insists gremlins might have been involved, but Mogu says she watches too many conspiracy shows. Meimei says she'll have to get a new camera eventually, but she has other plans first.

It took two spotlights, a lamp, and - obviously, the christmas tree lights of our tree and I still had to enhance the pictures. XD Well, I knew the camera wasn't the best, but I won it from work for free. And it gives me the ability to take pics.

Hey, everyone's good! Didi here. It was my birthday today! Meimei got me a drum (pictures to come) and Yukiko and Bijou even put up streamers and a sign. Plus there was brownies for everyone! All and all it was a great day.

I actually got confused and thought Didi's birthday was last week, and was upset I couldn't do anything. (I know, I know, bad me - not remembering. But, hey! Alot was going on at the time! I was only one week off) But then I found the birthday notice in my mail for this journal and was like - Oh! So I was determined to get him something. When I found out Yukiko had set up streamers and a happy birthday sign, I was really thrilled!
